Desert Noir

I've often felt that black-and-white is more suitable for some photos than others. This rainy road reflects the late afternoon light and the lack of color seems to lends a melancholy feel. This photo was taken on Cave Creek Road just north of Phoenix.

I'm linking to Skywatch Friday. There you'll find some gorgeous photos from around the world.

I agree with you about black and white photography. Excellent choice to convert this photo in black and white.

Regards and best wishes

Great shot. Like the bend in the road. Gives a direction to look.

I like the B&W!! Sometimes it's just better than color.

The black and white makes it looks very stormy and threatening.

It's just lovely. With our Calif. temps touching 100 this week, I'd love to be on this road right now!

Thanks so much for dropping by today.
